As Day Melts Into Night is part of a new series based around my painting Marshmallow Sky. Marshmallow Sky is a painting of a still from a video of a sunset. I wanted to explore painting the sky and sunsets in a new way as well as talking about ephemerality or something that lasts a short time. I’m wanting to try and capture a moment, one that I love!

I love creating atmospheric landscapes with soft, comforting light that also feels like a warm hug. These scenes invite viewers in and talk about our deep connection to nature.
